FAQs
Are your cabinets painted?
No, we supply them unpainted so that you can paint them. For the best paint finish kitchens should always be painted after installation. You will find that all the top kitchen makers do this. Many of our customers paint their own kitchens, but local painters are always available if you need someone else to do it for you.
What are your cabinets made of?
The cabinets available on this cart are a combination of solid wood, MDF and real Oak veneer. This is a great combination used by many companies due to its looks and stability. Our carcasses are made of real oak veneer which means the inside of the cabinets is real oak. The fronts of the cabinet (the doors, drawer fronts and surrounding frame), are made from Tulipwood. This is a very commonly used wood for top quality painted kitchens and furniture.
How are the cabinets constructed?
Our carcasses are screwed and glued. This gives just about the strongest join. One of the key parts of a proper handmade kitchen is the front frame. This sits on the front of the carcass and houses the door and drawer front. We make ours as a complete frame from Tulipwood. The frame is then screwed (with hidden screws) and glued to the carcase. Our drawer boxes are solid oak, with a Tulipwood front. Our doors are made from 5 pieces (2 x stiles, 2 x rails, and 1 centre panel) properly jointed with Mortise and tenon joints. The doors are then hung on top quality brass butt hinges which are recessed into the door to ensure that the door will never drop. The hinges are available in 3 finishes, chrome, brass and antique brass.
Do you install the kitchen?
No, some customers save money by installing the kitchen themselves as the cabinets are supplied fully built with doors, drawers, and all internals like bins fully installed. Alternatively, you will be able to find fitters locally, try Checkatrade. Nearly all fitters are self employed even those who work for companies like John Lewis and B&Q.
Are your cabinets supplied fully built?
Yes. These cabinets are the same as we make for our bespoke kitchen customers.
Do you have a showroom?
Yes, we have 2 showrooms, and you are welcome to visit us before you order on this shopping cart. Alternatively we will be happy to help you with a full bespoke made to measure kitchen at the showrooms.
When do I have to pay?
Because the purpose of this shopping cart is to fill short term shortfalls in our production, your kitchen will go into production straight away, so payment is 100% with order.
If your payment is declined on the shopping cart, please call us on 01202 475515, and we will try to take payment over the phone. If this is not possible we will give you bank details to make a bank transfer.

Yes, our top quality runners have a 40kg weight limit, are hidden under the drawers and have soft close built in.
